A Composite Skill Lab is a dedicated, multi-purpose skill-education facility that CBSE-affiliated schools set up to deliver hands-on vocational learning, in line with NEP 2020 and CBSE's skill-education framework. Rather than building a separate lab for every skill subject, a single CSL brings several skill sectors together in one space. Every kit, tool list and layout follows CBSE's Composite Skill Lab Guidelines (Annexure 1).
CBSE organises skill education around three fundamental Forms of Work — and a Composite Skill Lab is structured so no student misses any of them.
